Organize and segment your members by creating custom tags to filter and create lists.
Tags provide a useful way to add additional organization to your contacts and events throughout Talkbase.
Add or remove a tag
There are multiple ways how to add a tag to a contact.
Add a tag from the Contacts or Lists page:
- Open the Contacts section and select one or multiple contacts to which you wish to add a tag.
- After selecting contacts, a menu with options will appear at the top.
- Click Add tag on the top menu, and a pop-up window will appear.
- Select a tag or tags you wish to add or create a new tag, and click Assign.
- Alternatively, you can follow the same process from the Lists page and add tags for contacts in your Dynamic and static lists.
Add a tag from the Contact detail page:
- Open a contact's details by clicking on them.
- Hover over the Tags section and click Edit.
- Click on Tags in the Tags & lists section.
- Search and select from existing tags or type to create a new one.
- Click on Save changes.
Add a tag from the Event Registrations page:
- Open the Events section and click on a specific event to open it.
- Click on Registrations and select one or multiple contacts to which you wish to add a tag.
- After selecting contacts, a menu with options will appear at the top.
- Click Add tag on the top menu, and a pop-up window will appear.
- Select a tag or tags you wish to add or create a new tag, and click Assign.
Remove a tag:
- Open a contact's details by clicking on them.
- Hover over the Tags section and click Edit.
- Click on Tags in the Tags & lists section.
- Unselect the checkbox next to the tags you wish to remove and click on Save Changes.
Delete or update a contact tag:
- Open a contact's details by clicking on them.
- Hover over the Tags section and click Edit.
- Click on Tags in the Tags & lists section.
- Search a tag you wish to update or delete and click on the triple dot by the tag.
- Update the name or color of the tag, or alternatively click on Delete this tag in order to delete it.
