Refund/Cancellation Policy

When you first sign up for Talkbase, you’ll start a free 21-day Business Plan trial. At the end of the free trial period, your Talkbase workspace will be automatically downgraded to the Free Plan unless you upgrade your plan by making a payment. You can cancel a free trial anytime during the trial, but once the free trial is canceled or has expired, you cannot reinitiate the free trial. By electing to purchase a subscription plan, you acknowledge that your subscription plan has automatic recurring payment features, and you accept responsibility for all recurring payment obligations prior to the cancellation of your subscription by you or us.

Changing your subscription plan

To change your subscription plan, go to your workspace, and under “Settings”, go to “Plans & Billing”. You’ll be able to make changes to your plans from there. If you have any issues or questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at support@talkbase.io.

Refund policy

If you believe you’ve made a mistake signing up for a paid Talkbase subscription, please contact us at support@talkbase.io. We’ll be happy to refund you the full amount if you downgrade or cancel your monthly or annual subscription within 24 hours of signing up. After this 24-hour time period, refunds will not be permitted.

Some of our subscription plans include credits for contact enrichment services (the “Enrichment Credits”). There are no refunds provided for used Enrichment Credits for your CRM contacts. If you have unused Enrichment Credits included in your subscription plan, we are able to refund you 50% of the full amount of the Enrichment Credits if you downgrade or cancel your plan within 24 hours of signing up. After this 24-hour time period, no refund of Enrichment Credits will be permitted.

Annual plans

Annual plans are paid for upfront for a 12-month duration, and you enjoy the benefit of a

20% discount compared to the monthly pricing plan of the same tier.

Upgrading your annual plan

We understand your community and business needs may grow, and you might find your current plan no longer suffices. If you upgrade while on the annual plan, your workspace will be upgraded immediately. You will be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of the annual subscription term upon the upgrade request. Upon the next annual subscription term, you will be charged the amount for the upgraded plan.

Downgrading your annual plan

If you find that you don’t need the features in your plan and want to downgrade your plan, you may do so in the workspace settings, and your workspace will be downgraded at the end of your annual subscription term. No refund will be provided unless in the situation noted above under “Refund Policy.” In the next billing cycle for the next annual subscription term, you will be charged the amount for the downgraded plan and will have until that date to use your workspace with the current annual plan.

Custom annual plans

If you need additional features or entitlements for your workspace but don’t need the full features for the next upgraded subscription plan, please reach out to us at hi@talkbase.io, and we’d be happy to discuss the potential to add a la carte features to your subscription plan. For example, the following items could be considered being added as add-ons to available pricing plans:

  • Workspace seats
  • CRM contacts
  • Integrations
  • Analytics dashboard components

Monthly plans

Monthly plans are paid for on a rolling monthly basis.

Upgrading your monthly plan

If you upgrade your monthly plan in the middle of your monthly subscription term, your workspace will be upgraded immediately. You will be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of the monthly subscription term upon the upgrade request and the new tier amount when the next monthly subscription term begins.

Downgrading your monthly plan

If you downgrade your monthly plan in the middle of your monthly subscription term, your workspace will be downgraded at the end of the current monthly subscription term. There will be no refund provided unless in the situation noted above under “Refund Policy”. In the next billing cycle for the next monthly subscription term, you will be charged the amount for the downgraded plan and will have until that date to use your workspace with the current monthly plan.

Cancellation policy

If Talkbase elects to terminate your subscription plan for reasons other than your breach of our Terms and Conditions or failure to pay fees when due, we will grant you a prorated refund for the remaining unused portion of your subscription term. You are not entitled to a refund for any subscription plan that you cancel unless in the situation noted above under “Refund Policy”. If you cancel or terminate your subscription plan, your right to use Talkbase will continue until the end of your then-current subscription term and then terminate without further charges.

Refund Process

Once we receive your refund request and determine that you are eligible for a refund, we will process the refund within 20 business days. The refund will be issued back to the same payment method used for the original purchase. You will receive an email notification when the refund has been processed.

Changes to the Refund/Cancellation Policy

We reserve the right to make changes to this Refund Policy at any time at our sole discretion. Any updates or modifications will be posted on our website, and the effective date will be updated accordingly. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically to stay informed about our refund practices. By using Talkbase services, you agree to this Refund/Cancellation Policy and our Terms and Conditions.

Disclaimers

You acknowledge and agree that while we strive to ensure customer satisfaction, all refunds are issued at our sole discretion. Refunds are not guaranteed except in instances where they are required by law. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to limit or deny refund requests in cases of suspected abuse of our refund policy, including but not limited to frequent refund requests, requests without sufficient cause, or patterns of behavior that suggest exploitation of our refund policy.

These refund restrictions will be enforced to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Frequently Asked Questions

If I change my plan from annual to monthly billing, do I still get to keep the annual discount?

No. The discount only applies to annual plans. When you switch to a monthly plan, you’re charged full price.

Can I get a refund on contacts that I had enriched if there was no public information found?

If there is no public information found on a contact, no enrichment credit is used.

What happens if I don't use all my credits (in a period before resetting)?

The credits you receive within your plan expire within the period they are available. Each month, you are eligible for more credits within your plan, which will automatically reset to the default value once the new period starts. Check our detailed pricing page to see how many credits are available per plan.

Can I get a partial refund if I didn’t enrich all of the contacts I had purchased in my plan?

You are not eligible for a refund of your unused credits.
